A deadly storm dropped a huge amount of snow and now the Residents from Texas to New York have begun the most challenging task of cleaning up snow as the temperature has climbed above freezing across much of the Southern United States on Thursday.
According to the National Weather Service,in Pensacola where snowfall was about 7 inches, temperature was expected to reach 44°from a very low temperature of 26° whereas there have been predictions of temperature reaching to 47° from 13°in Mobile, Ala.
It has been forecasted that very soon and most probably by the weekend the temperature would be in the 60s across much of the Southern United States, all the snow will melt away and green grass will appear again as per Weather.com
But the areas which faced such circumstances will take some time to get back to normal circumstances.
How this situation could continue to snarl life in the Southern United States:
The storm effects could persist over days or may be months. Some people lost their lives due to the storm and some are facing challenges in recovery. Problems such as traffic jams ,car crashes are faced by residents, long-jams of patients are also waiting to be discharged from hospitals until roads are safe, preventing hospitals from accepting new patients, Ochsner said.
It is expected that roads may remain dangerous for the next few days as snow melts and freezes into ice. Even after the last traces of the storm are gone, though, many throughout the south will be forced to deal with vehicle damage. The plants and trees which need warm weather conditions to grow can be affected due to snow.
