On April 21, Kanye shared a post on X (formerly Twitter), where he previewed a new track titled “Cousins.”
He explained the song reflects a personal and painful memory connected to his cousin, who is currently serving a life sentence for killing a pregnant lady. Kanye shared that their relationship changed after they stopped looking at inappropriate magazines together as children.
In his post, Kanye West Cousin was not identified by name, but Kanye admitted he felt responsible for their early behavior. “Perhaps in my self centered mess I felt it was my fault that I showed him those dirty magazines when he was 6,” Kanye added, “and then we acted out what we saw.”
Kanye revealed he had found magazines in his parents’ home.
“My dad had playboy magazines but the magazines I found in the top of my moms closet were different, continued Kanye.
Kanye added, “My name is Ye and I sucked my cousins d–k till I was 14.”
The artist shared these reflections as part of his healing process and creative journey. This is not the first time Kanye has publicly addressed deeply personal topics.

Kanye expressed regret over a past social media post that mentioned Jay-Z and his children.
He said, “I’m sorry Jay Z,” and acknowledged that he felt alone during difficult times in the music industry.
