Pokemon Legends ZA was the highlight of Pokémon Day 2025, delivering thrilling news for fans worldwide. The highly anticipated installment in the Pokémon Legends series takes place in Lumiose City, located in the Kalos Region. While no exact release date was announced, The Pokémon Company confirmed that Pokémon Legends ZA will launch in late 2025. Fans also got their first look at the game’s three starter Pokémon: Chikorita, Tepig, and Totodile.
The gameplay in Pokemon Legends ZA introduces an evolved combat system. Players can move freely during battles, dodging attacks in real-time. The popular catching system from Pokémon Legends: Arceus and Pokémon Scarlet & Violet makes a return, allowing seamless captures without requiring a battle. However, weakening stronger Pokémon first is still recommended. As expected, Mega Evolutions are making a comeback, adding another layer of strategy.
In addition to Pokémon Legends ZA, The Pokémon Company surprised fans with a brand-new multiplayer game, Pokémon Champions. This title, in development for Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android, will focus on Pokémon battles. Players can link it with Pokémon HOME to utilize stored Pokémon. However, no release window has been provided yet.
