Massive wildfire broke out in North of Los Angeles 

The fire broke out late Wednesday morning and within no time it burnt nearly 41 square kilometres of vegetation near Lake Castaic. The moving wildfire prompted evacuation orders or warnings for over 50,000 residents. 

 Firefighting aircrafts dumped thousands of fire retardant on the wildfire and slower winds allowed it to be done easily. Collective efforts by more than 4000 firefighters resulted in getting 14%of Hughes fire under control. Danger is still high and keeping the safety of people as the first priority ,red flag warnings are extended because the conditions are still not good and fire might spread further. Palisades and Eaton fires are closely monitored by Firefighters as there are chances of fire breaking the containment lines and growing wilder.

Anthony Marrone , Los Angeles fire Chief emphasized that current conditions are very different from those sixteen days ago.

Sheriff Robert Luna said that more than 31000 people have been ordered to evacuate from Hughes Fire and another 23000 are under evacuation warnings .

To prevent accidents and facilitate the movement of emergency vehicles and equipment,a 48 kilometres stretch of major north artery had been closed. Strong winds were the major factor which led to widespread  fire .Wind was blowing at 67 kilometres per hour in the afternoon  and reached 105 kilometres per hour in some mountain areas by Wednesday night.

Kayla Amara, a nurse who has been living with anxiety due to the recent wave of devastating wildfires across Southern California, was deeply affected by the unfolding events.

Rains are in the forecast and the threat of mud and debris flow in our fire-impacted communities is real,” Supervisor Kathryn Barger said during a Wednesday morning news conference. Residents were warned about the toxic air and harmful pollutants.Luna said his department was still investigating about 22 active missing person reports in both fire zones. Cause of fire has not been found yet.
