Tom Homan strongly criticized Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez after she mocked his warning about the consequences of evading law enforcement.
“What she needs to do is read the statutes enacted by Congress,” Tom Homan said on Sunday Morning Futures. “It’s a crime to enter this country illegally. Not only that, but when you harbor, conceal, or impede law enforcement, that’s a felony.”
His remarks came after Ocasio-Cortez hosted a Know Your Rights with ICE webinar, advising undocumented immigrants on handling encounters with ICE. Homan accused her of teaching them how to evade law enforcement.
Tom Homan Questions AOC’s Actions
On The Ingraham Angle, Tom Homan suggested Ocasio-Cortez could be crossing a legal line. “I’m working with the Department of Justice to find out where that line is. Maybe AOC is going to be in trouble now,” he said.
Ocasio-Cortez responded on social media, mocking Homan’s claims and suggesting he “learn how to read,” beginning with the Constitution.
ICE Focuses on National Security Threats
Homan emphasized that ICE is prioritizing arrests of undocumented immigrants with serious criminal records. He warned that advising individuals on how to evade law enforcement could lead to severe consequences.
“Let’s hope she’s not educating the next person who gets out and murders a young college student in Georgia,” Homan said. “She can call it education, but we all know it’s about evading law enforcement.”
