Spanish Town Parade 2025 is set to bring its signature pink chaos to Downtown Baton Rouge on Saturday, March 1, at noon.
Unlike traditional Mardi Gras parades, this event replaces the classic green, purple, and gold with an explosion of pink. Flamingo-inspired floats, costumes, and decorations transform the city into a vibrant sea of color.
The parade will feature around 75 elaborate floats and marching groups traveling along Spanish Town Road before ending on River Road.
One of the most iconic elements of Spanish Town Parade 2025 is the presence of pink flamingos, a quirky tradition dating back to 1981. Every year, hundreds of plastic flamingos mysteriously appear across Baton Rouge’s historic Spanish Town, marking the start of the festivities.
Locals embrace the flamboyant theme, celebrating the neighborhood’s eccentric and diverse spirit with a motto: “Poor taste is better than no taste at all.”
As anticipation builds, as the event promises another unforgettable, unapologetically pink spectacle in the heart of Baton Rouge.
