Tragedy in New Albany, Ohio: Gunman Kills 1, Injures 5 at KDC/ONE Facility

A mass shooting at KDC/ONE in New Albany, Ohio, has left one person dead and five others injured. Authorities are searching for the suspect, Bruce Reginald Foster III, who is 6 feet tall and weighs 175 pounds.

The shooting occurred around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the facility located on Smith’s Mill Road in western Licking County. Around 150 employees were present when the incident took place. Police from New Albany, Ohio responded quickly, confirming one fatality inside the building. The five injured victims were rushed to local hospitals, but their conditions are unknown.

New Albany Police Chief Greg Jones held a press conference on Wednesday morning, stating that Foster had been employed at KDC/ONE for a long period. He called the shooting a targeted attack, revealing that all victims were employees of the company.

A handgun was found at the scene, but the motive remains unclear. Chief Jones confirmed that Foster was the sole suspect, dismissing rumors about multiple shooters. Authorities believe Foster was picked up after the incident, as he was not found on the premises when police arrived.

Investigators have visited several addresses tied to Foster, but he remains at large. Just before the press conference, officials received new information suggesting possible hiding locations. Chief Jones urged Foster to surrender, saying, “It’s only a matter of time.”

Surviving employees described the attack as traumatic. Police reported no prior disturbances or conflicts before the shooting. Investigators continue to question witnesses to understand what led to the tragedy.

The investigation is ongoing, with New Albany Ohio police and several federal agencies working together to locate Foster. Authorities are asking the public to remain vigilant and report any information on the suspect’s whereabouts.
